A stroll out the back for the last time…
Went for a bit of a wander out the back of the place . It will be the last time I go out there. From the back of the pine block there is a good view of Dellicknora Valley.

Lal Lal Falls
This is one of those sites that used to be beautiful before the environmentalists fucked it up. Many years back now someone fell from that rockface whilst abseiling and died. So they banned all from walking down the path to the foot of the falls. I’m not really sure how they connected the dots between the two activities, but needless to say we all adhere to the new rules religiously.
Lal Lal Pig Iron Mine
Out from Ballarat is Lal Lal up the ridge toward the reservoir is what remains of the old Pig Iron mine and smelter. There were a couple of pits, a smelt and tramway that lead out to the mainline. I will tell the story one day.
