Railway photos from around the world

I have a great personal interest in railways, the real deal and model, existing and the deserted. All over the world. I especially like viewing what could be loosely termed railroad photography from around the world. More often than not railroad photography gives us an insight, a view, of more than just a railroad, it often gives an uncensored glimpse of a country, region , society, culture that those steel rails run through.

Some good pics on this site, alas is a Russian Site in Russian, even makes it a little difficult to do an alphabetical search. But worth taking some time to stumble around in.

SubstitUTE

It is not the 351 V8 powered Ford F100 that one wished for. In fact its nothin' like it - its a 4 cylinder diesel Holden Rodeo.
It really is a substitUTE.
But it were cheap, is economical, and will probably do the job a whole lot better.

Fence and stable

The fence protecting what will be the vegie garden, and out front, between the two heaps of wood, the new house for hungry. The woodshed has a new door at the end.

Stump

This barsted just won't go away. Quite a bit of material has been burnt on this stump, probably about half a tonne of greenhouse gases been created in the process too.
